Mostly put it off until tomorrow. The most common argument they make is that it is 'real', but it isn't as serious as evironmentalists claim.

Bush political appointees removed sections from and otherwise revised governmental reports, written by scientific advisors, when those report countered the political stance of the administration. The person who did most of this 'editing' worked in the oil industry before being appointed to the position (hmmm... isn't that a coincidence).
