I have heard 4-6 weeks, But what should you do if your new-growth is not that curly. I want a roller set.

Everybody says 4-6 weeks..but i wait until i need it,it may be 4 weeks,and it may be 9 weeks,whatever my hair needs is what i give it......if its really soon though,I'll get a less strong relaxer,if your new growth isn't curly...then don't worry about it!!!!!If you go to a stylist,then they'll take care of that anyway!

You have to have at least an inch of new growth to relax in order to make sure that the relaxer does not overlap over the prerelaxed hair. Trust me when I didn't follow that rule of thumb, I had hair loss. I have waited 2 weeks to as long as 3 months to get a relaxer it just depends on the style you are wearing (shorter hair requires more frequent touch ups than longer hair.) Good luck.

5-6 weeks. You probably have fine hair so six weeks. You can still roller set your hair when you have undergrowth. There's no problem.
