I am from Germany. We get paid to stay home with our children for up to one year. We also get money for our children until they are 18. The amount you receive is based on your income. However, I have heard that there may be some changes regarding who and how much a family may receive.

This would be nice, then I could stay home and have an income and spend time with my kids and family..
infact its a dream I have always had..
but , this day looks to be a fantasy, so untill the fantasy comes true, I will have to stay at my full time job and still take care of my family..
bummer, I know

By whom? Are you a liberal suggesting a tax to fund this?

The rewards for being a stay-at-home parent are priceless and not measured in monetary terms. Thank your lucky stars if you have the economic wherewithal to be able to do this. Most people are not so fortunate. Rethink your values and appreciate the opportunities you have in life instead of looking to work something else to your advantage.

My wife stays home with our kids. And I work hard to take care of her. She gets paid in the way of a 4 bedroom house, a decent car, food in the house and a little cash in the bank. Raising a family is a joint effort. The income that comes into the house is "ours". It matters not whose name is on the paycheck.

absolutely not.

They don't work and if you were to liken the job they do cleaning you could get a maid for very cheap. and they don't get free room, board, food, clothes from the supporting spouse.
