LOL! Of course a cat can eat butter. Im not sure if i would allow one to eat real butter but parkay and brands of that sort probably arent that bad. As a matter of fact, when my cat has a hairball, i put a little butter on her feet so she can lick it off and it helps dissolve the hairball.

One of my cats is crazy for butter, and we let her lick a little bit every once in a while as a treat.

Yes they can but in small amounts. I gave mine Margarine a tsp. once a week to keep her pooping, When you give them dry food all the time they need a little help sometimes in going potty. The oil in the butter or margarine is good for them. But not a steady diet of it could hurt their tummy's.

Cats are dangerously lactose intolerant.
Butter is made from milk.
Therefore, cats are dangerously allergic to butter.

My sister has to hide her butter, she has four cats who do everything to get to it. Occasionally they succeed and lick it away.

They will if you let them, but I wouldn't encourage it.

But seriously, I don't think it would hurt them (it never hurt ours). But don't take my word for it. Ask a veterinarian.
