Prior to the global release with the Automatic Update, IE 7 was free for anyone to download and install, even if their copy was not marked as Guinuine. Now however that has changed and you must have a legal lisenced copy of a Windows OS in order to obtain IE 7 or any other software release. I am sorry to tell you this as some people thought they had legal copies of their OS, only to discover it wasn't, or even after it passing a time or two suddenly no longer pass the inspection process.
If you believe your copy should be legal you need to contact Microsoft for assistance. They have been dealing with these situation since they began using this super way of stoping the prirating of their OS. Even though Microsoft is a huge corperation with billions in assets they earned the right to those assets through hard work and innovative creations. I do not think it right or ethical for some people to basically steal software products and not pay for the work of others. We all are attempting to make a living and some have made a very good living with their brains and hard work. I do not think you stole anything, so you can get your copy verifified as guinuine by going to Microsoft or to the manufacturer you bought you computer from. If this is a computer you purchased second hand with the pirated OS already on it then you really are out of luck.
Good news though!! Right now computers from certain manufactures bought before the end of this year can have a Vista upgrade for free or a nominal fee! Also, computers right now are as cheap as they are going to be in years due to the imminant arrival of Vista in January of 2007. Now is the best time to purchase a new computer, Fry's Electronics have good quality comptuers which qualify for a free Vista Upgrade for a nominal fee if purchased between now and the end of the year. You can get a good quality HP computer for around $600.00 and then take it in after Vista comes out and get it upgraded for a very small amount. Some manufacturerers are offering the Upgrade for free, so if you purchased it for a bit more directly from HP you would be eligable for the free upgrade. However, Fry's, even with the nominal fee later is still the less expensive avenue for a new computer and the Upgrage to Vista later in January.
I purchased two new computers this year. Had I been aware of what I now know, I would have held off until now to purchase these two computers. A free OS Upgrade is valuable and cool. Even with the possibility of a few bugs in the earliest releases, the free upgrade makes up for those small inconviences. I really am envious of those who are going to get the free or nominal upgrades to Vista. Now I will have to wait until the bugs are worked out and I really would rather have Vista now. Darn! :-(
Have a great day, and go buy a new comptuer! ;-)
By the way, IE 7 is as good or better than Firefox now. I know we all have our preferances, but I really much prefer IE 7 to Firefox. If you want or have no other options go ahead and use Firefox, or stick with IE 6 untill you can afford a new computer. Good luck and have a nice day!

Your reproduction of living house windows is both pirated, or when you install it after buying it your serial key replaced into blacklisted for some causes. there are techniques round it, yet i fairly can't say extremely as a results of coverage and what not - attempt to hunt for it on line (authentic living house windows bypass). you should truly bypass with firefox extremely in case you may't come to words with microsoft.

Dont install IE7 its is a disaster, complete combination of bugs, it has very low security its even slower than IE6. Try Firefox 2 its best and better in every aspect.

But if you want to run IE7 you must an old setup of IE7 (beta version) as it can validate old version of windows and not new ones. I suggest not to do that as it is very dangerous, it could harm your system. Try Firefox as it has more function than IE7 and is more stable.

I don't believe so, Microsoft checks all the time now whenever you want to upgrade anything with Windows. Try using FireFox, it's better than IE anyway.
