I personally believe you can love two people at the same time. We are complex beings and it is somewhat naive to think one person can meet all of our emotional, psychological, and physical needs. It is however, very complicated and most people will not tolerate this kind of a relationship. This presents a dilema for the person who has two loves - do you tell them both or do you hide this from both of them and try to have a relationship with both. And if you do, how complicated will it get before you are found out? You risk loosing both lovers....

To have someone that completes you means there is no room left for anyone else to fill, you are complete!!!, if at anytime you meet someone that you say completes another side of you, then you were never complete in the first place. Nothing is perfect and this is why "best friends" were invented so we will be able to talk to someone other than the one we think completes us.

Roswelldreamer is right in that you have to be a complete person yourself first. Stop looking for other people to define you. You are who and what you are and only you can make any changes.
As for more than two people in a relationship? I have seen it work, but only if all parties involved are honest and open about it. I know a gay couple where one of them believes in open relationships, but doesn't practice it because his partner doesn't. The thing is, a relationship is a contract. You make your rules, and if you have integrity, you abide by them. Cheating and lying is never right... even in an open relationship.

I don't think anyone completes another person. You have to be a complete person before you involve yourself in romantic relationships otherwise you will always be trying to fill a void. I think you can have different loves, but I don't think you can have more than one romantic one at a time. That would be really selfish if you expected both parties to deal with that.

i think love can ,at a time ,be with a single person only. the fact is that true love brings adjustment in yourself and you don't feel a need to hv someone else to understand the other you. you make them your world. however, if in some corner of mind, you still expect more from your love, you'll wander away for second love. it' is that complex, but the fact is, it is called love!!

It would be horrible to share your love with both. You must keep one as a close friend but keep the other closer. It's like asking if it's alright to cheat. And if cheating isn't wrong then why was it called cheating in the first place?

You have to choose-or the women will find out about each other and both dump you. Who do you love? Have you ever heard of that? And if you say you love both-you love neither.
