It does not have to involve religion and can 'just be'.

Striving to be the best person you can. Treating others like you want to be treated. Being respectful of others and considerate of other's feelings. Exercising good judgment in your personal affairs. Doing what you say you're going to do.

Mostly, just be nice to people, kind to dumb animals, and remember that life is too short to be wasted on the frivolous tedium of petty pursuits.

You don't have to be walked upon to walk among others as a good person. Some of the best people I have ever met didn't wear their religion on their sleeve.

The true good person comes from within......it's called conscience. This is part of ones inner being, call it a soul if you want. The course of action to being a good person is to listen you your soul, hence, religion has to be involved.

I do not think it has to involve religion. I have known atheists who are good people, caring, honest, follow the rules outlined in the ten commandments. Religion is one path, there are many.

i am a spiritualist and i believe we all get into heaven if we do good be good to others and love all as equals. so yeah you dont need a religion to tell you that either. a atheist or a pagan is more likely to get into heaven than some one who beats there kids on a weekly basis and thinks they are saved every sunday.

How's this:

What you forgive, you will be forgiven in the same measure.

Justice, mercy and faith are more important than little rules.

Do good to those who hate you.
Love your enemies.
