No the word "dinosaur" is not in the bible. Neither is kangaroo, or hippopotamus. But, check out Job 40:15-18
15 Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.
16 Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.
17 He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.
18 His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.
Sounds like a dinosaur to me.

I've also been plagued by that very same question. If the knowledge given to those who wrote the Bible was indeed all knowing there should have been some reference to those creatures that were the masters of the planet milleniums before humans existed. As you already know, human beings did not co-exist with dinosaurs since we are a relatively new species. There is also no mention of the ice age that wiped out all life on earth when an asteroid smashed into our planet, sending vast amounts of dust and debris into the atmosphere, effectively blocking out the sun and dropping the earth's climate. I guess according to the Bible, none of this is relevant.

Seeing as how Dinosaurs became extinct millions of years before man even walked this Earth, it is not a stretch to understand why they are not. The people of this time were not exposed to this type of knowledge about their planet at the time. They even thought the planet was flat back then.

There may actually be.
I have heard it hypothesized, and not unintelligently, that some of the rumors of giants in the OT stemmed from really really large bones (that we now know to be dinosaur) that might have gotten unearthed in various ways. They wouldn't have had the science or the ability to put them back together to see what they had made, and given the immense amount of time, its not like they would have had any idea or models to go by.

There are--maybe. Read Job--there's a whole section on the "behemoth" and the "leviathan" that sounds a lot like a description of a dinosaur.

Obviously, it's because the christian god was not born when dinosaurs were around and the society in which he was living was inferior to ours scientifically speaking.
