My son is quiet and really into mathamatics, science and reading. Trying hard to be the good parent along with my mother but getting no where quick. please give comments don't want my child shipped to a school that with tramatize him for life. thank you all.

check with the state school board and find out which schools are rated "excellent"; for instance Champaign County, West Liberty-Salem is a little, rural school which is rated excellent and has a very supportive community. Will you move?

If homeschooling is an option check out www.connectionsacademy.com. I work for the company and I am totally in love with our program. Basically it's a public school education from home. CA provides you books, a computer and a state certified teacher avalible by phone or e-mail. The classes are tailored for each student so if he's above grade level in certain subjects he can get work on level with his skill and not be held back to just cover the same material as the rest of his class.

If you are worried about schools you should definitely check into home school. Our son was really into math and science also but the school was holding him back and as you probably know boredom leads to trouble.
