I'm doing a project for school, and i have to come up with possible energy sources to run 3 schools, but also has to be cost effective.

The best energy source for schools is MONEY--to fuel the cost of excellent teachers and facilities. Who cares about how the electricity works cost effectively or not, if the education is substandard?

Besides what Sophist mentioned above, the best electricity source(s) would probably be windmills/solar panels. It would also teach the childrens about enviroment protection.
