I want to buy a 720p Westingouse TV on black friday but I kind of want to hold out for a 1080p set. Is there a world of difference between this two resolutions?

1080p has way more pixels meaning a clearer picture. But it depends on the TV size, most 1080p TV's are larger than the 720p TV's. So if the TV is larger, then it will need more pixels. If you get a 720p TV and it's the same size of the 1080p, then you will see a difference since the 1080 has more pixels. But if you want a medium sized TV, then there won't be much difference if you have 720p since it will be smaller.

most tech site say not to wait for 1080p and just go ahead and get a 1080i, being that p is so new and players capable of it will be very expensive
