One word. Antibiotics. Make an appointment to see a dermatologist. Your problem should be covered by your insurance. If you do not have insurance, call around and get the lowest quote. Tell the offices you call you would like a to see a doctor about a medication for your acne and that you don't have insurance. Everything is negotiable. The appointment should cost less than $100. This might seem expensive, but I'll bet you've spent more than that already on various creams, etc... With the MD, insist on antibiotics. The Dr. may try to push some expensive ointments on you first. Remember, HE works for YOU, not visa versa. Tell him you do not want ointments, you want antibiotics.
Drawbacks: Antibiotics, if used often, can be hard on your kidneys. Using them occasionally is relatively harmless, so no worries there, but once you stop the drugs the acne may come back, so avoid the temptation for prolonged use. Bad skin for a few years is better than a lifetime of no kidneys/dialysis.
On the good side, knocking down the acne for a month or so might be all your body needs to overcome the problem. Good luck.

Hi,
I totally know where you're coming from. I struggled with really, really bad acne about 2 years ago. Intially I tried tetra-cyclin and retin-a. However, my skin got freakishly dry and I started getting a weird rash on my face.
I quickly stopped taking them and tried Proactive. That sure was a waste of money. I finally started showering directly after the gym and found that this helped tremendously. I also tried a free product I got on the net called Beautiful Skin. Believe it or not, it worked way better than the prescription stuff! I only paid $4.95 for shipping for a month supply. I re-ordered and I use it to make sure I don't get back my zits. It also has tea tree oil which feels really good on my skin.
Here's the link if you want to get it, I think it's the best thing I've ever bought for the price $4.95

Good Luck!

Mary Kay has an excellent line for acne. Velocity. It is a skin care regimine that works very well. You can't just use a cream and expect it to work. You have to have a skin care regimine and you want to stick with the same brands. Velocity is a face wash and moisturizer. Even though you are acne prone, you still need moisture! There is an acne treatment gel, and a toner. When this is used together, you will see results. for free samples go to www.marykay.com
do a zip code search to find a consultant in your area to help you out!! Good Luck!!

Do u have a dishwasher? If so great. When it's almost done open it up and lots of steam will come pouring out put your face over it in allow the hot steam to get on it. Don't wipe it off or rub it off let the steam rub off by it self do that everyday. And if u don't have a dishwasher then do it the old fashioned way. Boil some water let it boil (very hot) make sure there is lots of steam.Put a towel over your head in allow the steam to hit your face. What the steams doe's it opens up your pores. Never use alcahol or use your hands or dirty towel when rubing your face. When washing it make sure it don't have alcahol or purefume in it. Also use warm water and when your finsh wash it at the end use cold water. Damed dry. Make sure never put your hands or figers to face. Always use a papertowel or nepkins to rub your face.
