i think the five year age gap is acceptable if you are both mature about it. also there's somthing exciting about getting to know someone from a totally different environment. the only issue i see is the long distance relationship...

if you guys can handle being 200 miles away from each other. then i don't see any hangups with your situation...

go for it^^

First of all I don't' think your age is a big deal at all. It does however sound like you guys are at two different points in your life and a distanced relationship is never easy. Sounds like his just a fling to be honest...the fact of wanted something you may not get because of the above mentioned factors. I'd move on.

The situation stuff is an everyday norm. You hear about it all the time. If you really like him then find out if he wants to see you too and if he does then go after him.

Eh. 23 is way too young. You need a man 33, rather than 23. I think messing with a college student 200 miles away is a distraction from something else in your life.

age difference is seldom the real barrier.

my husband and i are 17 years apart. you need to look at the other important issues.

things in common, goals, career plans, family plans, economics, job opportunities if one were to move closer to the other to pursue the relationship. those kinds of things.

age is only a number. its hard to find that one connection. But you also gotta make sure he's on the same page.

i think its great seeing people, younger [not toooooo young[ and older people getting together. And not caring about what other people might think.

Thats called lust. It's more the age then the person. They say girls are more mature so that makes you 30 and him 17. Might be fun now but just you wait!

You can go and visit him. But you are way ahead of him so it probably won't come to much. Go and have fun just don't count on it going anywhere.

For two well adjusted adults, age doesn't matter at all. He sounds like an adventure you want to take, so take it.
