or does religion get in the way of muslims being able to laugh at themselves...in the wholesome and healthy way that the rest of us do.
why is it the world seems to be teeming with jewish comedians, and yet i cant think of one funny muslim?
or is it that there are muslim comedians, but that jokes about their own faith is proscribed/taboo?

Yes it is obvious that we can't make fun of our beliefs; the Holy Qura'an is no laughing matter, but we can always laugh at our own weird religious attitudes. Almost half Egyptian movies in 1990 through 2000 were comedies about extremism.
The thing is; in our countries everything is very cheap and very inferior, most notably education and entertainment; u can't think of a funny Muslim (me neither) just like u can't think of a manly Muslim or a Muslim stuntmaster, ...etc
I find Chris Rock funny but that's because Hollywood knows how to find and invest in talent. We do not

I really never thought about it until I red it on here and .... no still don't care. My thoughts are as long as the jokes are funny and do not offend people then I do not care what religion the comedian is. God Bless You.

im muslim and i have no clue about what your trying to say!!! i know alot of funny muslims just non that are famouse maybe they just dont like to make funn of their reliogon and beleifs like alot of people!!
