Yes. And no. LimeWire has this thing where people format illegal items such as (bootleg) video's and future release music, whereupon the time for release for that particular stream to internationally become available is when the bootleg videos and preview music becomes legal.

Of course not your breaching copyright!!! surely you know that!
your basically getting the music for free and those whos singing or the compnay helps make it dont get any money for that record! if you get caught you can get fined! that why in the small print lime wire says this software has nothing to do with downloads its just simply a database, this is of course that you copy the music to your computer!!!

The legality of the LimeWire software itself is debatable, but downloading music that you have not purchased is most definitely illegal.

Limewire and other P2P sharing software is legal. It's what you use it for that makes it illegal.
In other words, if you want to be able to grab MP3s, Hollywood movies in AVI format, or other copyrighted material, it's the equivalent of going into the Walmart and stuffing the CD in your pocket and walking out without paying.

as its a shareware for sharing files that other people have on their computers it is illegal as the artist / copyright owners do not receive there fee. it is also pretty dangerous as unless set up properly you are allowing people access to all information held on your computer such as bank details, your address and any other information that may be personal and could be used for fraud, use it at your peril!! not to mention the virus that you may download!!!
