I went to the gyno today to get a lump in my breast checked out....I am 25...had a baby Feb.2006...breast fed for 3 months....anyway...if I sqeezed my armpit...I had a clear fluid that was sticky come out...also around my areola...only when sqeezed....he didn't say anything to me accept that I was getting a mammogram...lab work for prolactin (milk)....TSH....and galactorrhea which I think is the pituitary glands...my question is...that my mammogram isn't scheduled until December 18...if he thought that it was cancer...wouldn't it be sooner...more than later....what do you think is going on? He really didn't tell me anything?

That's odd - the doctor really should have communicated with you better - even if he just said "we're running some tests and we'll know more when the tests come back."

Inflammatory breast cancer is a risk in young women, and if I were you, I would insist on having a mammogram done sooner. However, that said, young women also have more dense breast tissue, and mammograms are not necessarily a good diagnostic indicator for them.
You are paying this doctor for your services. If you have questions, you need to write them down, and ask him, that is what you are paying him for. It's okay if he says that he doesn't know and won't have further information until you get your tests done, but in this manner you can bring up your concerns about inflammatory breast cancer. Don't be afraid to speak up, it's your body and you need iformation to make correct healthcare decisions.

Why don't you call back and talk to the nurse about it. Write all your questions down before you call so you don't forget anything and make yourself well-informed. I would say that you are at a very low risk for cancer but there may be something else that he wants to check out. Ask the nurse what each of the scenarios may be. Cancer may be a slight concern but there are other things that concerning him that may take precedent. Men don't communicate like women, so if you don't ask specifically he won't tell specifics. (I recommend a woman doc- they are much more sensitive to what we go through)

I don't think you actually need a mammogram. An ultrasound would be better in your age group. I don't think there will be a structural abnormality that they find in your breast to account for your lactation.

However, see my answer to your question elsewhere. Your doc should be thinking Hyperprolactinaemia (the worst cause for this is prolactinoma)

It could just be stress or lack of sleep (common with an infant) or it could be to do with drugs (especially anti-nausea medications).

It could just also be one of those things that we never get to the bottom of.
