you need to get a car asap. That's the only way...or a gas station that is nearby that you can walk to. You can't work from home..those are all scams. Get yourself a cheap car...you can get a real used up one real cheap to get yourself to work and save up for a better one.

Unfortunately jobs are rare and many people are forced to relocate in order to find work. It may sound horrible to you but if there is ANY type of business, gas station, grocery store, fast food, bar near you, try there for now until you can get on your feet to get a car so you can drive to where you need to be. I understand your g/f's point of view, it's not easy having someone living there and not putting in their part of the bills, try, try and try again. Don't just TELL her you're trying, SHOW her you are.

Get a job at a local restaurant if you can, and take out some student loans. Go back to college, you're not going anywhere without a degree.
Good luck buddy

Look into telecommuting. Lots of places have needs for customer service reps and things like that where you are on the phone and they hook you up so you can work from home. Other places have light assembly work that they will drop off at your home and pick it up later.

Consider moving to a town where you have family or friends that can put you up far a week or so until you can get a job and get on your feet.

Go to a Temp agency and they will hook you up with a job. They give you a test, and they see what you qualify for and they set you up with a job

See if any companies would let you work from home using your computer, or collect cans.
