There is really no 'norm' in society anymore. Families are made up of all sorts of different people. As long as everyone is of legal age & happy, that's all that matters.

The main concern would be hurting your friendship with your friend and his mom, or your friend and yourself. Make sure you talk to him/her first about it, and if everyone is alright, there shouldn't be a problem.

How old areu. Im thinking you're much younger..........
Its not a matter of what society thinks its how high
of a price you're willing to pay to be with her.
Just think about if you need someone that can keep
up with you. Sharing different stages of your lives........
shes obviously been through alot that you havent but that
doesnt make it any easier. What about children her time is
about out for that -- depending on health about 5 years or so
that wont be an option. THink thius thing through--- very
seriously.

Most relationships are not 'accepted' in american society...that is unless you have known eachother for 10+ years, are from the same nationality, are within 2-5 years of eachother, have the same financial background, are the same general body size and weight, ect, ect.
So who cares what society thinks. If you love her and your friend is okay with it, then go for it.

Of course it is seen as odd. Since people view it as if you were to marry her for money or inheritance money. But if you know your doing this out of love and your friedn is cool with it what is the big deal, as long as families don't make a big deal out o fit and your happy...go for it!

I would say no, just because it will probably put a rift between you and your friend. I don't think it's a good idea unless you talk to your friend and make sure he\she is going to be alright with it.

Consider this: When you are 45 she will be 65. Think long and hard. That body may look great now, but beauty fades.

The age difference does not matter and she is not related to you. As long as your friend doesnt have a problem w/it. I'd say it is ok.
