You'll most likely either experience a gush of water or notice that you are constantly leaking. Sometimes you actually hear a "pop!"

Also...forgot to say that there will probably be an increase of pressure when you no longer have the cushion of the bag of waters.

You can tell when your water breaks because you will feel water flushing out from your vaginal area. Make sure you go to the toilet ASAP and sit there until the water stops.
This is what I did when I went into labor.

Sometimes it can be hard to tell, some women is just a gush of water others is a slow flow. When me water broke I was peeing and thought It wasn't stopping it was my water that broke.

Water does not always break. Sometimes there is just a leak and sometimes it just never happens. From what I understand, there will be an odorless gush.

Hey! When the dam breaks the water is gonna be movin on. If you have to ask it probably ain't. AHHH, is there anything runnin down your leg? Do you make a puddle when you waddle?

when your water breaks you will know. you will feel wet in your private area and will be wanting to inform your husband or whomever to get you to the hospital

Oh you'll know when your water breaks! I found it to be thoroughly disgusting.

I worried about not knowing too but when it happened there was no confusion on what happened. Plus at the hospital they can test the fluid to make sure it's amniotic fluid or urine....*L* I had no idea!

they had to break mine but my friend just slowly started leaking. she didn't even realize her water had broken!
