I would like to know if anyone has any thoughts or experiences with this car.
I am thinking about getting a 2007 but I haven't found many owners around.
I am thinking about the 2WD and smaller engine. I am reffering to the S40 in 2.4i 168HP.
Also, does anyone knows what is the price of maintenance? Are the service too expensive?

Thanks oin advance for any help.

The S40's are awesome! Great body style, perfect fit, tons of room. I'm looking at one myself and have the same questions. Now that Volvo is owned by Ford the parts arnt going to be as costly as they would be in the older models, but they are still going to need work. As long as you are able to maintain the car you shouldn't have to be dumping money into. I think its a great buy. Your best bet for service is to NOT TAKE it back to the dealer... try finding someone who works on Volvo's outside of the dealership. *I don't know if you would be willing to look into the new Civic.. but those are very nice. The S40 and the Civic coupe is what I'm in a toss up between*
