Anytime except for middle of April cos it's Songkran-You will get sprayed with water around the 14th-It's a festival and water is sprayed from toy guns everywhere you go-Its also the hottest time of year that's why they do it-
They get really offended if you object.
Also is the worst time for storms is known as 'rainy season'
Any time other than that and you'll have a great time.
If you are up for a laugh check out Pattaya cos it's great-for shopping and drinking it's a great party atmosphere.-From there catch a boat to Coral Island-You won't regret it-It's pure Paradise.
In Pattaya you can hire beach buggy's and cruise Jomtien beach-Well worth it-
Also check out Silom Road and if you need cheap accomodation check out the Mayflower in Rama IV cos you can have a top stay for around £8 per night.

Its great all year long as the weather is the same. Probably don't want to go during the monsoon season as it will be raining a lot but at Phuket it's always good.
Lots of Europeans go during the winter months to get some warmth but airplane ticket prices are up during the Christmas month.

For cool weather, Nov to Feb. Otherwise, anytime is a good time to go.

here is a link showing high/low season and weather patterns , i would think Jan to April would be best, but you may think diferently.
