Ok, my cat got locked in the living room lastnight decided it would be a good idea to crap all over my leather sofa. I have tried everything I can think of without ruining the leather, bicarb of soda, washing up liquid, dettox, but I just cant shift the smell. Does anyone have any suggestions?

10 point to the one that works! Thanks xx

Try either Nature's Miracle or Urine Gone. They both work by enzymes that eat up the bacteria & have stain removes. Nature's Miracle will probably work better on poo & will be gentle on your sofa. You can find these in pet stores.

I've used Simple Solution Cat Urine and Oder remover and it works wonders. I'm not sure if it is safe for leather couches, but you can always check. It is available at Petsmart for around $5. Hope this helps.

Hi there so much for thoughtless people answering your question. Ignore them! Your problem is one I don't know the answer to exactly but I know what I would try. If you use a fragranced wood polish (lavendar) maybe I think it would help. Hope it works.

hey you might want to use leather wax with a perfumed smell and then try lavender candles and burn lavender oils too will make the room smell pleasant and calmer
hope this works for you

Bin the sofa, then bin the cat. How do you know it won't crap on it again once you've cleaned it. Mind you, you could always crap on the cats bed in retaliation, that would show the little bugger!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know how to stop it happening again, but you'll probably not co-operate. Cat piss is there forever, as for poo I never had that problem with my cat.

use the cat, first wipes its nose in it, then spray the cat with glade spring meadow fragrance or something and use the cat to wipe the smell away, simple!
