There is no "reason" for living. The reason that you live is for whatever you choose it to be.

The list for reasons for living would not fit in this space.
There are so many reason's to live that I don't know where to begin. Every day brings different reasons and challenges to do the best we can with every day. Some days are better than others but we take the challenge and do what we can.
There are some negative things that happen in our life and in our society but people like you and I are the ones who try to make changes for the better for all of us. Some things we have no control over - many other things we do, so that's where we need to focus.
You never, ever know where you will be next year at this time or how you will feel or what may still be important to you, so there is always a reason to continue to march forward - just to see how many things have changed.

The world isn't really full of hate, it only seems that way sometimes. How do you feel about your parents, your siblings, your friends or even your pets? You love them, don't you? Other people feel the same way about theirs. Now, think about how you'd feel if one of them just gave up because of all the terrible things that are happening in the world, and decided that life wasn't worth living. It goes both ways.

Life, ultimately, is what you make of it. While you can't make the entire world a better place all at once, you can certainly start right where you are. Lead by example, and maybe others will follow.

The true answer to your question is that there really isn't any particular reason for living, other than the one(s) that you make for yourself.

Good luck with your search for answers.

I've been through this and know exactly how you feel. When I was 18 instead of planning what I was going to do with my life, I was thinking about ending it. I had come to the conclusion that the world was a bad place full of hate and wondered what kind of future could I possibly have in it? I didn't want to bring a child into this awful world to be hurt. So there went any plans of being married or having kids. I tried 2 suicide attempts and my mother who raised me in church took me to a christian counselor who helped me change my mindset around.

There is more to life than what these other people are telling you. You were created with a divine purpose and destiny. Each person on this earth was formed and made to be who they are based on their purpose in life. Whether they walk out that purpose is up to them and the decisions that they make in life. Jeremiah 29:11 Says, "For I know the plans I have for YOU, says the Lord, plans to prosper you and give you hope and a future."

Many are called and few are chosen. I feel that you are chosen. Don't let the lies of the devil tell you that you aren't worth anything and there is nothing for you here. You are important and you have purpose. Pray and ask God to show you what that purpose is and He will reveal it to you.

I'm so glad that I chose life and I hope that you will do the same. Once I got that negative stinkin thinkin out of the way I realized that I can help change the world one person at a time and you can too!

holy damn brite tiger posted a lot of stuff as his answer. and all i can say is that there is no real reason why you should continue with your life if you are just willing to throw it away. all you can do is live the life you have find you bliss balance yourself and thing will work out in the end. oh and the reason there is so much hate in the world is because no one bothers to put in a little kindess and love baack into it but they just take it out freely. so do as a great man once said love those that love you and love more those that don't hey maybe people might just learn something from your example.

The reason for living is : you occupy your particular time and space--enjoy it. Be happy, learn what you can, experience love and parenthood if you want. We aren't here for that long, so don't waste too much time trying to define and categorize absolutes. It's all just a "tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing," anyway. But between cradle and grave, there are some wonderful moments. Here endith the sermon.

There are many reasons. For every negative there are two positives. Sometimes we are just looking in the wrong places. There are simple joys of life to be appreciated. Once they are gone it is too late to enjoy them. Life is hard that is a fact. Yet, others before you have overcome great obstacles to become happy productive people. Life is not always roses, but it goes in cycles. Joy will come again. You must be patient and able to see it when it appears. Best of luck.

The reason i think would be to experience life's ups and downs. sounds silly but think about all you've learned from birth to now! You get to experience love, friendship, you have a chance to breath,. think about the joys of life, child birth, family. If you didn't get a chance at life just imagine what you would feel! nothing. You would know nothing, have NOTHING! It may not be the answer to your question but it works for me. Thank you.

The only reason I still haven't lost my will to live is because I want to take in as much of this earth's natural beauty as I can. Humanity, on the other hand, can continue going to hell in a handbasket as far as I am concerned.

to hopefully contribute something to this world. you have to think positively, and not dwell on the negative. of course there are lots of bad things going on in the world. there is also good happening in many places in the world.

be kind to your family, and friends.

volunteer and donate to charities

smile :)

just think there is always someone out there who is better then you and there are always people who are worse off then you are. you have to deal with the cards you were dealt.
