Your hips will never be back the same size, for me it has been over a year and I still haven't gotten back down to pre pregnancy. everyone is different.

I left the hospital weighting the same as I did when I got pregnant both times I had children. Actually with my twins I weighted less! morning sickness is not a good thing.
With my son prepregnant weight 111, got to 130 with him and left hospital at 111.
With my twins I was 125 before, got to 130 with (lost a lot in the begining) and left the hospital at 111!

I remember fitting into some pre-pregnancy pants at my daughter's six month pediatric appointment. My body shape has definitely changed since then but I think I was able to go back to my prepregnancy weight because I breastfed- I hardly exercised and ate REALLY well after she was born.

I'm actually 13 pounds less than my pre-pregnancy weight. Even though I'm still eating like a pig. It's because I'm breastfeeding twins. I was back to my pre-pregnancy weight by my 6 week appointment and have been dropping weight ever since.

I was back to my prepregnancy weight by my six-week appointment, but my clothes were a size larger. 20-months later...my body still isn't the same, I have finally dropped that extra size, however.

Well I ended pregnancy 30 lbs lighter than I started, sadly I am almost back to where I started. ;-)
But I wouldn't expect things to fit the same. (Particularly tops)
