No, that's a little bit pervy, even in this day and age.

It's perfectly fine. I met my first love when i was 16, he was 21. We were together 4 years and lived together for the last one. It didn't work out as we grew apart (as you do) but i don't regret it one single bit.
16 is legal in UK so i don't see what the problem is here guys!
Yeah OK she shouldn't have been in a pub and I'm not condoning that (As a licensee myself i wouldn't!) but when i was 15 i was drinking in pubs, i was lucky enough to look older than i actually was and hung out with older people as well which helped!
I say If it feels right then go for it.

What are all these people objecting to??? Girl's of 16 are often very mature these days. She's above the legal age to have sex with; she is old enough to get away with being in a pub; and if she likes you too then go for it!!!!!
My niece was dating a guy who was 30 when she was 16 and is still with him 6 years later.

Wow, well this is going to be a very flamable subject. It is wrong in the legal sence and depending on who you ask in the moral sence too. I mean do you really want to have to deal with dating someone that young and possibly immature? You have to consider the legal side of this greatly as alot of places have laws to protect children from older people/predators. On the other hand things could work out and there could be a real relationship. I know myself being 25 have dated a couple 18 and 19 year olds but 16 and 18 have a huge difference.
In the end I would say shy away from it but you are the one that gonna have to make that call and decide if it is acceptable to you.

Not. There is a bigger difference between 16 and 21 than between 30 and 36. The maturity levels that are reached between 16 and 25 are bigger than the changes that take place in later adult years.
If she were my daughter, I would not want you to date her for that reason, even if you are a wonderful young man. I would not feel my 16 yr old daughter was mature enough to make decisions about being with a man of 21.
Best Wishes,
Sue

according to wikipedia:
The age of consent in England and Wales is 16
So, providing your in UK its legal. BUT some people see this as wrong and men aged 21 should be looking for women aged 18/19 plus.

First off I'm wondering what she was doing at a pub in the first place???? If you have sexual relations with her, you could wind up in jail and don't kid yourself to think she will keep it a secret. She will confide in someone and it will get out!
Surely you can find someone legal to date.
