Is it true that Jesus is actually God in human flesh? I never knew that and I would think that would be important enough to mention..

Yes, Jesus Christ was God manifested in the flesh....He had to be sinless, as only God could be, because that way when He died for our sins, His perfect, sinless blood was accepted as the perfect sacrifice, therefore acceptable to pay for all those who trust in Him for forgiveness of sins!

We call it the Trinity. God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit (or Ghost in some circles) They are 3 and they are 1. It's a bit confusing. Jesus was the part of the Godhead that was sent to earth as a baby in order to carry out God's plan to reconcile humanity with Himself. Jesus was 100% human AND 100% God. Again, hard to grasp.

John 1:1 -- In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:14 - And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father...
John 1:34 - I myself have seen, and have testified that this is the Son of God.

Only the fact that He was fully human enables Him to be an acceptable sacrifice in the eyes of God. He lived the sinless life, therefore, when He died for our sins, He made a way for all who choose to follow to be made right with God.

Jesus is not God.
Thousands of people will disagree with that statement.
Some will even try to show a scripture (or 2) that seems to prove it ...on the surface.
The word 'trinity' is not in the Bible.
The expression 'God the Son' is not in the Bible.
There is didlysquat in the Bible that indicates Jesus, God and a third party are all the same person.
God had no beginning. Jesus had a beginning. Colossians 1:15.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

No it is not true that Jesus is actually God in the flesh. He is God's son. Jesus prayed to his father not to himself. You are absolutely correct in thinking that it is worth mentioning this fact. The belief in the trinity which is that God, Jesus, and the holy spirit are one and the same was developed from pagan worship and are false doctrine. I have included some web sites for your information to read from your own bible and check out the scriptures for yourself. I hope you enjoy reading bible truths.
How did the trinity doctrine develop?

Yes, true man as well as true God
We have been taught that He proceeds forth from God, and in that procession He is generated; so that He is the Son of God, and is called God from unity of substance with God. For God, too, is a Spirit. Even when the ray is shot from the sun, it is still part of the parent mass; the sun will still be in the ray, because it is a ray of the sun--there is no division of substance, but merely an extension. Thus Christ is Spirit of Spirit, and God of God, as light of light is kindled. The material matrix remains entire and unimpaired, though you derive from it any number of shoots possessed of its qualities; so, too, that which has come forth out of God is at once God and the Son of God, and the two are one. In this way also, as He is Spirit of Spirit and God of God, He is made a second in manner of existence--in position, not in nature; and He did not withdraw from the original source, but went forth. This ray of God, then, as it was always foretold in ancient times, descending into a certain virgin, and made flesh in her womb, is in His birth God and man united." Tertullian, Apology, 21 (A.D. 197).

Yes, Jesus is God in human flesh. He was able to know temptation, He was able to feel human emotion, He felt what we feel.
He felt cold, and hot, he felt the breeze and the rain, He felt the gentle touch of a mother, and the hateful touch of those that wished Him dead.

Yes - He was.

Yes, it is true.

Phil.2:5-8
Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
Col.2:9
For in Him (Christ) dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;
