What are you into? Are you the adventurous type (hiking, scuba diving, skiing/snowboarding, etc) or would you rather lounge on a beach somewhere? Do you want to stay in the States or do you want to go abroad? What are you willing and able to spend?

Okay, I know that most people want to go somewhere warm and tropical for their honeymoon, but really it depends on what you and your spouse like to do.
My husband and I were married in December, and immediately hopped on a plane to Paris. It was cold, overcast, and absolutely perfect for us! Neither of us had ever been to France, we both love food, wine, architecture and art, and so we spent a wonderful week together enjoying all of those things.
Alternatively, my sister-in-law and her husband went on an Alaskan cruise in June (running away from warm weather!). They are both seriously into nature and outdoor activities, so that was perfect for them.
Think about what you would most like to do with your new spouse (other than the obvious) if given a whole week to yourselves with no outside interruptions. Then plan your honeymoon for a location that would facilitate those activities.

If you have some money to spend, I highly recommend Antigua in the West Indies. We went there for our honeymoon and it was beyond amazing. We stayed at the Antigua village beach club--look it up. It was a 110 out of 100

My husband and I went to Bora Bora...just off the main island of Tahiti.....its considered the Most beautiful Island in the World (travel channel).
It really is beautiful and romantic. The water is unbelievably clear....and a turquoise blue.....the people there are willing to help you with anything, there is plenty do do...and the huts...are more than you would think...they are actually airconditioned and very comfortable. Some are over the water with parts of the floor or the coffee table is glass and youc an see through....the fish are an amazing array of color.....most of the food is great......
If you couldnt tell...it was an unforgettable trip...once in a lifetime....Good Luck !!!! and Congratulations !!!!
