You say God can be proven, how? What makes what the Bible says true?

Several reasons:
Mass delusion.
Indoctrination since birth.
Fear of death, comfort of made-up fairy tales of heaven.
Lack or logical thinking skills.
Ignorance of how the world around them really works as described by science.
Tendency to follow or believe in charismatic leaders selling the modern equivalent of "snake oil."

There are more, but that about covers it.

Do Christians Believe In God

Sunshine is correct anyone can claim to be Christian , but the term actually means modelling your life after Christ,if you do this you will understand not just the simple things but also the deep things about God, this in turn will cause you to conform your life to be in harmony with the scriptures and therefore your beliefs will be consistant There are a group of such Christians, they are called Jehovah''s witnesses. We trust in what the bible says and make the necessary changes if our actions are out of harmony. For example I havent always been a Jehovah's witness and I used to celebrate such traditions as christmas and easter after researching the origins of these traditions I realized that doing so was out of harmony with being a Christian, so I stopped When i first started studying the bible i smoked cigarettes and heeps of weed, the more i studied the more i realized i could not do both and still please God so i stopped smoking. Regarding differences in beliefs keep in mind there is only one True God, Jehovah is his name and there is only one truth, God's word is the benchmark on which to measure these apparent differences. The trinity in my studies is not supported by the scriptures, many will disagree but regarding truth we need to make up our own mind based on the available evidence. Drinking alcohol is not a sin in the Bible, even Jesus drank a little however Drunkenness is and there a many scriptures to support this statement. I guess what i'm alluding to is opinions are a lot like belly buttons, we all have them, and the're all a little different. But truth, it doesn't change , the problem is some peoples perception of it does. But if we base it on a reliable source such as Gods word then we are building on an infallible solid foundation, one that is not always shifting.

Some are informed, some are ignorant. Some are obedient, some are rebels. Some are wise, some are foolish. Some are spiritual, some are fleshly. Some know Jesus Christ; others know only about Jesus Christ. Some are born of God, others are trying to be good by their own strength. " In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use. Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work. ' II Timothy 2:20-21

Nothing can be proven positively either way. It's all in what you choose to believe. We've all been "taught" what we believe. It's a matter of choosing to continue the beliefs we are taught. None of us were around at the beginnng of time so none of us know what happened.

Everyone wants to belive something, we have the bible and which spurts christians. Just like Buddha, Pentacostal or anyother religion. Everyone wants to belive there is a higher power that counteracts after you pass and something happens to your soul instead of just blackness, that is why I belive.

Because Jesus Christ is all about God, as He is a God.
When does science evolved? late centuries thru natures observations of life patterns seen in daily lives.
It means there exist something before being observed repeatedly.
So, who made these things, and who made these very orderly pattern that functions perfectly well to conform into the law of nature. Who made the nature.
Did you interview all the world scientist who says: everything can be proven as to their existence?
Your brain is too small to accomodate all the wonders this world can offer, so, why not just enjoy the beauty of it all and let your brain rests from pressure thinking where all these things come from by the way?

Supporting science does not disprove God at all. Do you think God is stupid? Who do you think came up with the Kreb's cycle or photosynthesis? Man? I don't think so.

I still support science, but I also know that there was a higher being that created all this, whether he decided to do it by way of the Big Bang theory, I have no idea. I know that our universe didn't just appear. Someone with a loving hand made the galaxies, made the beautiful sunset, made the beautiful rainbow we see after the rain. So what if scientists can explain how it is done. That just means God gave us the intelligence to figure it out.

I think people who have low IQ, which I see in abundance in the west exception is S-Korea, seem to follow Christ. One god theory is for people who have no critical thinking capacity. They need to develop reasoning think in Grey Area rather than living with somebodies digested thoughts.
