I have booked hotel via this site several times and by my own experiences and of others comments, is very reliable. You get virtually instance reply to your email that your request has been received. Of course, this does not guarantee that the booking is confirmed by the hotel itself , as yet, until they receive payment or deposit. But that is probably same with every other booking services. Once you have a reservation, you will also get direct email contact with people doing the booking and they can assist you very quickly if you need other assistance, queries or make changes to your booking.

You could just call a Thai travel agent on the phone and discuss what you want with them. International rates are pretty cheap these days. Need a number where you can book your hotel in Thailand with a real human being (who speaks fluent English)? If yes, email me.

Sorry I know this doesn't answer your question directly - just trying to think laterally.

Take a look at www.asiarooms.com. The reservation office can answer your email quite promptly. The site has reviews and write-up and the rates of the hotels, so you can read up all you want before you make your booking.
