Wow. . .I changed them each year according to who I was, so I had a lot of different ones. Basically though, what it boiled down to was a good solid name that wasn't too trendy or too backwards. For instance, Evelyn (Evie) for a girl and Lucas for a boy. They're nice good names that don't sound ridiculous or have a ridiculous spelling to them, yet you don't hear them often either. I have son named Lucas right now, who is a year old and I haven't met a Lucas yet.

Boys - Jordan and Michael - no kids yet...still favorties though.
Girls - Carrie, Shannon, Marissa - Since then I've met both Carries and Shannons I dislike, and can't see using those names now, bus Marissa is still a contender.
New Favorites - Jordan (for a girl), Scarlett, Aurora, Paris (before it was a "famous" name - not any more). And Austin for a boy.

For my first pregnancy I was told I was having a boy. I had a name all picked out. Turns out I had a girl. Had to think of a name at the spur of the moment. For my second pregnancy I had twin girls. I had names picked out for them before I had them. I had names picked out for boys to just in case. I always like the names Brandi, Lacey, Mackenzie, Madison, Larissa, and Nevaeh for girls. Tyler, Taylor, Cade, Dillon, Dalton and Christopher. I used 4 out of the 5 girls names to name my 3 daughters.

That's funny you asked that I just found the paper that I wrote names on.
For boys I had: Andrew, Justin, and Micheal
For girls I had: Trinity, Brittney, and Justice
I didn't use the names for girls because I only have boys and the boys names were already taken my my siblings before I had children.

When I was young, I always wanted to have a little girl and name her Jeralyn and call her Jerrie. I have 4 kids now, 3 are girls and none of them are named that.

Heaven for a girl and Tyler for a boy. Thank God I chose different names when I actually had children. Those names were fine but they are so common now. (and sorry but Heaven is not a nice name.)
