Start with hot water and fresh grated ginger add 1 tablespoon of honey and drink as tea. Providing you are not ginger sensitive this should do the trick. The next thing I would recommend is an elimination diet like the one in Back to Eden: by Jethro Kloss, it has a great plan for slowly reintroducing foods into your diet to see what is causing the migraines. I used to suffer terribly and a friend gave me this book turns out I am sensitive to bleached flour-not all flour just those with bleach, I also have zero tolerance for MSG and horseradish - once I eliminated these I was migraine free. The diet took a total of 8 weeks but I am so glad I did it I haven't had to suffer the agony now for 2 years! Food sensitivity and allergy is still something Dr's have a hard time understanding but they are real and their is real help.Hope it works for you too!

Alternate the application of a hot then a cold pack at the base and back of the head/neck. I never had one of these before but did once when I was pregnant... it was awful. I was so scared I thought I was having a aneurysm.... silly... I know now -but then I was freaking out. I called the doc and he suggested that method, along with tylenol. It worked. Hope it goes away soon for you.

a quick way of getting rid of a migraine is running your wrists or ankles in the hottest water you can handle without burning your hands or ankles for about 1 minute or two.
this really works
