by this i mean conversations using IBMs Sametime client, can they be monitored by a company's IT police....so i'm not talking about saving messages to ur local machine

Sametime is part of IBM offering and is usually install in concert with Lotus Notes. The data being passed back and forth via sametime is encrypted for passage through the public domain but it can be monitored by the domino administrator.

well depends on what program your talking about, if its on msn/yahoo messneger they are logged on the pc, but only if its set to record
