Kaye: this is how they have it mostly correct. Christians aknowledge a trinity. And they are supposed to be all different aspects to the one true GOD. The jehovas witness' aknowledge the difference between these. For example, jesus did not pray to himself. He prayed to the father. Jehovas witness' aknowledge that they are all different. Jesus is believed son of GOD, the father is jehova, and the holy spirit is that comfort that you are supposed to rest upon. They are not one and the same, all different. Let me put forth an example. If a man was to have a son, they would not be the same. One is the father and the other is the son. Get it?

The only Christians who have it right are the ones who follow Jesus and strive to become more like Him.

This is a difficult question, because obviously everyone is going to feel their own belief system is the correct one. Also, I believe that Catholics are Christian, so you go a little astray on that point. You could argue that most religions are break-offs of the Catholic church, and therefore if the Catholic church is wrong, because of some fundamental doctrine, then it is most likely that the break-offs are also incorrect. However, this is not a certainty, assuming one of those religions brought back something that was missing.

You're argument that the Jehovah Witnesses are correct because they don't believe in the Trinity isn't really an accurate conclusion, because there are many religions who don't believe in the Trinity, one of which is Mormons. A problem with what the Jahovah Witnesses believe, for me, is the fact that had Adam and Eve not partaken of the Apple we would have all been born and remained in the Garden of Eden/Paradise. To me this is a horrible thought. Had we been in the Garden we would have not known of good or evil, happiness or sorrow, etc. It was necessary for man to feel and incur sorrow in order to recognize joy. Thereofe, had they not disobeyed God, Adam and Even would have been no more than drones, just middle of the road all the time. I cannot believe that was God's plan.

I've studied with the Jahovah Witnesses before, and there are other fallacies, or illogical doctrines. I will admit though, they are typically very pleasant people to talk to.

I would keep searching if I were you.

The Jw's are correct in a whole lot of areas. They are probably the only ones who zealously are against Christians observing pagan holidays such as Easter and Christmas, but I feel they go too far. Christians are allowed to observe days that man has set aside in a secular manner. When I was a Christian I observed these days as a man made day off and not as a religious holiday, however now that I am Wiccan, I do observe these as religious holy days.

The churches of Christ used to be closest that we had to the New Testament Way, but has been infiltrated by so many denominationalists who are fighting to become just yet another denomination, that I don't think any are close anymore.

The New Testament teaches to not add to or take away from the word, thus the saying the restoration movement had to speak where the bible speaks and to stay silent where the bible is silent.

they are the only ones who knew the pagan holidays were pagan and not Christian and to believe the bible teaching about Baptism and did not use instruments of music because not only is the bible silent on the subject, but early church writings from the first to fifth century clearly states to use instruments of music is to be like pagans. Pagans enjoy using any and all musical instruments in their worship.

I believe there is no one close to being what the New Testament Christianity was these days.

The Correct one would include:

The Bible is complete and needs no additional books
Jesus is Fully God Fully Man
Salvation is by faith alone. Good works happen AFTER salvation to prove the reality of salvation.
ALL Christians are called to be baptized
Jesus is the ONLY Sacrifice,Pathway to/for God
There is no other gods save the God of the Old/New Testament God.

Common courtesy would have been for you to come out and state you are a JW

Your question assumes that precisely certainly one of them is authentic and each and all of the others are incorrect. Saner Christians reject that, yet there are various sects who have faith it:- Their contributors would be saved and everybody else will visit Hell. isn't it obtrusive that this insanity grew to become into invented by ability of people - very nasty people? Catholics have faith in a softer version of this nonsense: solid people of all religions - and atheists besides - gets into Heaven, however the Catholics gets a greater place there. that's not as viscous a coaching - even though it continues to be ridiculous.

And when did the JWs start excepting salvation by faith in Christ plus NOTHING? From what I have seen that have added to and taken away from the Scripture without comment . This essentially makes their "translation" extra Biblical revelation.. With their strong central control they class as a non Christian Cult. Oh and who says that the Cathilics are untrue. There are many fine Christians that are members of that church ..Jim

Dear Mitchell,

It is only recently that jws started calling themselves "Christians". In the past when I told them I was a Christian they ridicued me.

To be a Christian is to accept Jesus Christ as one's LORD and Savior. Christian does not mean somebody who goes to a Christian church because churches are often filled with people who go for the wrong reasons.

You say "it seems ..." Please be careful about things that SEEM.
What I have come to refer to as Watchtower Witnesses sound good and knowledgeable to people who are not familiar with what the Bible says. The Watchtower has even written its own version of what God says but is definitely not the inspired Word of God.

A couple of weeks ago some jws left a pamphlet on my doorstep - The End of False Religion is Near! It refers to what they teach as being true religion and what others believe as being false. But if you read the Bible (nearly any Bible but the NWT) you will see that they teach a works-based man-made religion.

When I spoke to a very lovely couple who came to my door last week I asked them about the jw founders who were criminals and who told lies in court. The couple told me that we all make mistakes and they likened Russell and Rutherford to Saul before he became Paul.

But that is not a valid comparison. Saul was upholding the Law to the best of his understanding. He was following the Letter but not the Spirit. Russell and Rutherford were living to SELF. One of them made the comment that it would be better to read their material than to read the Bible.

JWs do not come anywhere near close to walking the path of Jesus' disciples. I've had a lifetime worth of experience (my mother became a jw before I was born). Through the years I have read the books and maganizes that she sent me but I didn't read them until after I had read the Bible from cover-to-cover. Then when I asked Mom or other jws about things in those books I was told "We don't use that book any more." Hmmmm!

So I'm not very happy about it but I am reading the book the couple left with me last week. I would much rather be reading almost anything but that because after a couple of pages I felt so sad that anybody would read it or write such pathetic material.

Three years ago I was so very happy when a cousin told me that she had left the jws after 40 years. She had given me the NWT some years ago and I had tried to read it but it was definitely not the REAL Thing. I had been praying that she would leave and she did. Now I'm praying for Mom and ALL the others because they are the FALSE Prophets that the Bible warns us to beware of.

The gospels were written 120 years after Jesus died, so anything in there is just some ones opinion. Jahovas Witnesses may live a better life than most, but they don't have it "more correct" than any one else. They just have a little better point of view.

Actually, this is an extremely important question to answer, because our eternal life is dependant upon serving God in harmony with his will and purpose. All False Religions are quickly approching their end.
