I never put peanut butter in the fridge. Doing so will make it harder to spread.

I do because reliable organic and organic peanut butter will separate. Refrigeration slows this down. i lately offered some "organic" peanut butter than did not have a separation difficulty. I puzzled about it and discovered that some organizations are literally including different fat to so said as organic peanut butter to ward off the separation. they could get through with it because there are new regs that enable a minimum quantity of trans fat and it is nonetheless criminal for the label to verify "No trans fat."

NO, you shouldn't. If you refridgerate it separates the oils from the butter and it is next to impossible to remix. Also, once refridgerated you must continue or else it will go bad.
No, peanut butter does not harden in consistancy at all, it just gets crumbly... Unless it's in a cookie.

No, you don't have to keep it in the fridge unless it's the all natural kind. It does get stiffer when it's cold.
My kids eat it so fast that it doesn't have a chance to spoil, and when I was single I never had a jar go bad on me, even if it was a few months old.

Of course PB is harder, when you put it in the fridge.
Apart from that - do it as you like it. You don't have to refridgerate it, but if you like it cold and harder - why not?

No it shouldn't be refrigerated cause it does tend to go dry and hard and yucky... just close the lid tightly and put in the cupboard till next time..
