If he pays child support he should go back to court to adjust the agreement as child support and visitation are usually handled together.

This is a matter for the court system that your husband pays child support through. As the father, he can petition for the right to see his son. Even if you were to find the mother and the son, you have no legal rights to force the mother to let your husband see the son unless it is a court ordered visitation. Child support arrangements are usually made with a visitation provision. If there isn't one in place, your husband needs to be the one to instigate a change in the agreement. He should contact his court case worker who can assist him with this matter.
Added - You may want to have a serious talk with your husband as none of this sounds right. If you live in a different state from the mother and his son and your husband won't go into that state it is most likely because there is a warrant out for his arrest related to NON payment of child support. No matter where you live, your husband's child support payments should be going through the court system and your husband will have a court appointed liaison to contact about questions. You may want to gather all the facts before making assumptions.

Sweetheart, it sounds like someone isn't telling you the whole truth.

Firstly, one can't get a restraining order "for no good reason." It actually takes a physical disturbance before the courts will even think about granting an order of protection against someone.

Secondly, if he has a warrant out... that he's dodging... sounds like he might not be doing something totally on the up-and-up. Eh?

Thirdly, you might be involved because you're married to the man, but this area isn't your business. If he wants to contact the mother, he should do it. The world doesn't need another "bitter wife tracks down woman that dunned her husband wrong" story.

Fourthly, and finally, the Child Support/ Family Services office has all of the woman's information.

But why don't you focus on doing something positive with your marriage? Or just keep letting your sleeping dog (and his baby by another woman) lie?

Ok here is a shot. Your husband pays childsupport to the state I assume. Most states and/or counties within have websites where you can see when last payment was made and so on... try a search for childsupport enforcement in the state where child resides. the address where money is sent is listed in my state. You may also call the enforcement worker assigned to his case. You will need hubby's social security # they are generally helpful as long as payments up to date. Good luck ... another thing is in county where child was born... you can get copy of birth certificate... It has childs mothers full name and birthdate...... always easier with birthdate ..

The courts normally will not issue a restraining order without just cause. My daughter's ex husband tried to get one against her but the judge said there wasn't any reason for one & denied it so there may be more to this story than your husband is telling you. If he pays child support every month he needs to go to court & request visitation. Unless there is a good reason why they shouldn't they will give him visitation.

Ummm, my first question is, if he's paying child support, where is it going? There has to be an address to where the payments are being sent...Right?? I gaurantee that if he misses a payment, or, stops making payments all together, he'll find out real quick where they are located!

if he pays child support hten the courts would have all the info, and this info is public record. all you need to know is the satate she lives in. I agree with you on the fact he has a right to know. Good Luck
