let me first say that i am a christian.my question is this.is it wrong of me to believe that organized religion is wrong?i mean ive been to so many churches trying to find one that works for me and i havent because of what they preach.for example most religions want to say that others are wrong.by that i mean babtists want to say that lutherans are wrong even though they all believe in the same God.i feel i can still worship God just the same by not going to church.the main reason it bothers me is because it says in the bible not to judge yet every church ive been to seems to constantly judge others.

It is NOT wrong to believe organized religion is wrong. In fact it is perfectly reasonable. The Bible does NOT say you have to go to a specific location to exercise your faith. God simply says believe and do right. You can do everything in your own home, or while walking down the street that you can do in a church. Faith reigns whereever you are at the time and everywhere at once. I have stopped going to church due to the same experiences as you have. What matters is that you recognize this issue for what it is and that you act on it according to your belief that it is wrong. Pastors of those churches, and there are FAR too many, are called "false prophets", and to attend their church knowing this would be hypocracy against God. You are FAR better off keeping your faith secluded to the Bible and what IT says. The WORD OF GOD is by far more powerful than the word of any man. even a pastor. The Bible teaches where men preach. You do not have to judge anyone, God will do that. All you have to do is know God's word and live by right and not wrong. You can read the GOOD BOOK yourself as easily as you can have it read to you and you neither have to go anywhere nor sit an listen to an hour long "interpretation of it's meaning" to do it. It's all you honey! That's all it needs to be. You are fine! God bless! Hope this helps!

There won't be any Lutherans in heaven. Nor Baptists. Nor Pentecostals. Nor Protestants. Only blood-bought sinners saved by grace through faith in Jesus.
In Hebrews 10:25 we're told not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together. Pray and keep seeking, and you'll find the church that's right.
We're all sinners so you're not going to find a "perfect" church. If you ever do find a "perfect" church, don't join it or it won't be perfect anymore.
Personally, I wouldn't run away from a church for feeling "judged". As long as they're judging you against God's standards and not man's. If you go into a church and they're not stepping on your toes a little bit, what's the point? If I'm living like hell and I go out and join a church and they act like my sin is OK and say I can live any way I want - how exactly is that edifying me or helping me grow in Christ?

I agree with you. But the reason for this is that we are Christians but we are still human and therefore we make mistakes. There will never be a perfect church because as long as we are here we mess them up. Find one that you can worship in and show the the love of the Lord or start a group with some of your friends who are believers and that will be fine. You don't have to go a building to worship God. It just says not forsake assembly with other believers. It also says where 2 or more are gathered in my name I am in the mist of therm. Hope this helps you. God Bless

I don't think it's wrong. Everyone has their own beliefs, and maybe you'd be happier with an individual look at Christianity?
However, if it's just the prejudice you're against, I'm sure that there must be some organized denominations that do not disciminate - Quakers, perhaps? I know that they're peaceful people anyway!

You must judge to see if what the churches teaches is the same as the Bible teaches.
Also would you prefer unorganized religion, or do you mean that you just want to do your own thing?

- The traditions formed in religion are from man not from God. We are, however, suppose to 1) No what the Bible says for ourselves 2) Find a church that teaches strictly what the Bible says, no more no less.
________________________________________________
- We are commanded in the Bible:
HEBREWS 10:23-25
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for he is faithful that promised;
24 and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

There are scriptures in the Bible that refer to the difference betwee the religious man and the man of faith the first being a man of the "church". The one who is most blessed in the eyes of God is the man of faith.

I don't think it's wrong at all. As the daughter of a church secretary, I saw enough of the innerworkings and politics of a church environment that it made me completely re-examine whether Christianity was the right path for me at all (not saying you should do that). So I think there's nothing wrong with following Christ independently.
