It sounds to me like she is insecure and in need of attention , even though the attention comes from some one she supposedly does'nt like . However I would assume she is somewhat fixated on him and that she is trying to cover that fact up by saying she dislikes him .

she likes him maybe she is worried what you , your roommate or friends might think . What would happen if they got together and it didn't work out : a very tricky situation .
however every girl likes to feel wanted and male attention . why does it bother you so much do you feel threatened because you
1. would like something to happen between you and Jo
2. you are jealous of the male attention she receives
3. maybe you and your best friend need to do things independently then she won't annoy you as much

I'm wondering if it's the same Joe I know. He probably has something she wants. I've had a friend like that before. I couldn't stand him, but I got what I wanted from him. Keep your dumb-***'s close. Ha, ha! Men are dogs so I'm going to treat them like the dogs they are. Maby I won't anymore when I find a good one.

I have a guy friend like that. He annoys the heck out of me, and I sometimes mention that fact to my best friend.. but when he comes over I am not mean to him or anything. I bet your friend is picking up on the feelings this guy has for her and it probably irks her slightly, but not enough to not stay friends with him...

Well first, girls don't want to hurt anyones feelings. Second it's kind of hard to answer. She just feels that he's anoying when he calls. But dousnt want to hurt him by saying that she"hates"him when he's over, so she laughs with him and talks with him.

Very simple, she appreciates a humorously creative guy. Unfortunately, you don't have that virtue. Too bad!!!

It is just a "front". She likes him too. Read between the lines.
