It depends on how short your hair is. If it's more then 2.5 inches then yes.

Hair tests can go a very long way back. Normally when they test you now I think they go back for three years. So if you think you will not pass the test stay clean for at least a year and you will probably be ok. If you test positive these employers today will not even waste their time to pick up the phone and call you. So if you have messed with drugs get yourself clean before you go and try to find another job. These people will not ever call you again.

yes!!! hair test are very accurate thats why there done any body can go buy a solution to drink and get rid of it in the urine so this way they will be able to tell if you've done anything in last 3 years yes that long it maybe even 5 but i know 3 for sure. it depends what kind of drug if its marijuana, cocaine,yes for sure if its tylenol, advil they dont care however if your taking V or somas any of that they will also know and if your taking it for medical reasons make sure you get a real DR. note explaining why otherwise your done...

I have heard stories of people reporting for hair tests with their entire body shaved. I assume that does not make a good impression.
If your hair is long enough, a thorough hair test can find out alot about you. All drugs (from illegal to prescription to OTC), I believe they can also test for DNA, such as genetic markers for diseases etc.
They should provide you with a statement limiting how they can use the results.

It depends what kind of drug it was. Marijuana, YES! that stays in your system for at least 45 days NO MATTER WHAT! but if it was 5 months ago, unless you smoke pot every day, NO - as far as i know, that's the only drug that stays in your system for that long.
