If you are talking about your future together then you should know that already. If you aren't discussing the future in terms of marriage, kids etc, then I would say that at the moment he isn't thinking in those terms. Or if you're younger, maybe he just isn't ready to talk about any of that stuff yet, but will be one day further into your relationship.

To me, if you're older and the relationship is heading towards marriage, then I think that your relationship should be such that you are able to discuss this openly - we certainly were within a few months, although he didn't propose until he was ready, two years in. If you can't talk about stuff like this, then maybe there's your answer - sorry to sound negative :( but he's the only one who you can really get your answer from.

Has your bf started doing the following:

Talking about a future with you
Discussing life plans like children
Has mentioned marriage off and on

if he's not mentioned one or all three he's not ready to get married men who are ready to marry talk about making a life or showing a desire to want children.

it depends on how long you've been together, has he told you he loves you yet etc etc . besides if marriage ever comes up in the conversation, im sure you'l get a general idea of what is feelings are. if you've been together for along time you should ask him, you need to know were the relationship is going and whether your wasting your time. if your happy the way things are then leave it be. you could be opening a can of worms. good luck.

You ask him, if you are not able to communicate this simple life choice. I would not want to marry someone I am unable to speak with. God bless. Marriage takes a great deal of communication in order to succeed.

He'll bring it up if he's serious about wanting to be married. Just be patient. Asking him too soon could put pressure on him or scare him.

It depends you long you have been together, but if it is on your mind, you should mention it to him in a subtle way. Mind you, many men promise, and nothing comes of it. I've been led down the garden path a few times. Come straight out with it!

He will ask you if he wants to marry you. No other way of knowing unless you ask him.

If he wanted to get married, you'd already know because he would have asked you.

How would we know? He's your boyfriend! Have you talked about it before? Has he ever mentioned marriage? You could always take a chance and ask him.
