I agree that it's childish for questions/answers to be reported for this reason. However, I'm also disappointed, since Yahoo doesn't review all questions/answers, only those that are reported, that questions/answers that are reported seem to be automatically removed, rather than reviewed to see if the complaint is valid or not.

Yes, too many times!

The most recent was pathetic. Some gal was asking a question to do he homework (do you have the answer to this worksheet on page 45 of this book) and I responded that no one knows the homework and to get her full potential she should do it herself.

I was reported for not answering the question.

I've been reported 4 times--by answering the question as best I could.

The worst part is that two of the chicks deleted EVERYONE's answer. Lame if you ask me.

I wish they had some sort of way to dispute the abuse accusation.

Many questions are reported for ridiculous reasons, but it seems like those that are in R/S section get reported most often. Of course there are many people who don't actually answer the question but say things like "If you don't except Jesus, you will never find any answers" or "You are going to hell for asking such a stupid question". I don't report these, but I suspect many people do take offense to these or just do it out of spite.

Religion and Politics...two things no one will ever agree on 100%

I only report rude people.

I just think it's funny how some questions can stay up for as long as they do, while other questions that are actually thought provoking are deleted.

Like you said, it's because people disagree with your opinion so strongly that they feel the need to prove a point. Not with words, but with spite.

Yes, it's sad, and until Y/A actually does something to change it, we are all stuck.

Yes, I just started answering questions a few days ago and I already got a violation for a really innocuous answer. I don't go around insulting people or using foul language. The thing I got cited for was completely ridiculous.

Religion is a touchy subject where many people feel that they are right and everyone else is going to hell. There is no single answer under religion and spirituality that doesn't offend SOMEONE.
You're right. It's childish.

I think they do it because there are people on here that are under the age of 18. They should make an Adult Q&A site! 21 & Up with no restrictions
