Is it a good idea to bring the girl to the zoo and have some fun on the first date???? capture all the nice moments with a digicam during date??? instead of bringing her to movies, which is a norm.

yeah dude the zoo is about a million times better than the movies. at the movies all you do is sit there and watch but at the zoo you can talk and have fun together. especially good if she likes animals.

The zoo can be a very sad experience. Seeing all the beautiful creatures confined like that makes me sad. I guess it depends on the zoo. Is the one you have in mind a nice one, or is it like the one in Washington DC, where all those poor animals were dying needlessly in recent years? It was all over the national press. The head of that zoo even stepped down in disgrace. It is shameful.

Me, I'd opt for a film, but that's just me.

Depends on the girl. If she is an animal lover, like me, then I would say it's a great idea! I went on a first date with a guy to the zoo and it was a great time. Of course we both had kids and we took them with us, but even without the kids I think it would be great. Good for you for thinking outside of the box!

I think the zoo is an excellent idea girls love animals unless she has alergys this could be a problem, in my opinion the movies is always a bad idea for first dates how do you get to know someone in the movie theatre i think a first date should be spent getting to know one another.

When my husband and I were dating we went to the zoo on our second date. It was great. There was lots of things to talk about so no pressure there. We could walk, instead of sitting across from each other, so there wasn't constant eye contact if that makes you nervous. And if you are both feeling a connection its a great place to hold hands. Worked for us, we've been married 12 years now.

That's an excellent idea in my opinion. It takes away from the normal "dinner and a movie" date.

Try packing a lunch too. Most zoo's have grounds outside the gate that people can have a picnic as well.

Good luck, and have fun!

Sure it sounds like you both might have alot of fun and yes the movies are the norm and quite boring since your both or at least one of you is concentrating totally on the movie
