That wives are no slaves nor servants. If you ask something to your wive it most be asked as a favor and if you have have a steward or a maid, is also as a favor and with a please. We have to learn that we are all equals. A human has no right to slave another human.

If my husband ordered me around, he would get a b**** slap across the face.

Your wife does not get paid or reimbursed in kind or in money.
Your servant gets paid.
Your wife is your partner and you ask or request her.
Your servant works for you and gets paid to take orders
And if you had to ask that, I'm sorry for you.

well actually you should not order your wife .you just need to ask her and well shes not there doing things for money like servants.

I don't have a servant. I don't have a wife, but I ask(not order) my girlfriend to do stuff for me. But then, I'm happy to do stuff for her too.

Well your wife is your companion and your servant is your worker so in otherwords you should ask your wife instead of telling her to do anything.

Your wife is a help meet and not a servant.The husband is to love her as Christ loved the Church and gave His life for it.More than himself another words.The Bible also teaches that we are to submit one unto another esteeming the other above ourselves.
