Or are there any pretty blue colored flowers that would be in season for an october wedding. Are hydrandras in season?

You can get hydrangeas, iris, delphinium, and a world of other blue flowers that should be in season. I wouldn't attemp dying gerberas. They are a very tempermental flower and are very difficult to tell if they are gonna last even if they haven't been altered. adding chemical dyes would most likely not be good for them, other flowers maybe, but prolly not gerberas. They make a spray paint that is specially made for tinting flowers. Your florist can get it. This would be far less harsh on the gerberas. Some florists refuse to do it, but many will if your paying!

Any flower can be dyed. I've seen blue dyed daisies at the grocery every spring/summer. As far I am aware, hydrangeas are the only naturally blue flowers. I don't know when they are in season though. The best thing to do is talk to a local florist about what you want.

It can BUT be very aware that any dyed flower has the potential to "leak" the colour onto your beautiful wedding dress. My florist had people sign waivers after a girl in Winnipeg sued her florist over a wrecked dress.

I'd check with your florist that you are working with to see what flowers she can/cant get it. I wanted bluey/purple sweet peas for my wedding in August, but my florist couldnt get them.

you can dye almost any flower by adding blue dye to the water so that the flower "drinks" the water and the dye as well.
