I am raising two grandchildren. They are ages 2 and 3. We go for a walk almost every day. We also have a lot of parks nearby and sometimes we pack a picnic lunch and go to a park in the afternoon. We go to the mall on bad weather days and just look at all the stuff. We are always busy and have a pretty good time.

PLAYDOH!!!! All our boys LOVE playing with playdoh, and theres so many neat things they can make with the playdoh, get a few accesories to go with the playdoh, or do like i do. Give the kids some playdoh, some toothpicks, a butterknive, a cup, and some cookie cutters. But i would say your 2 year old might be a little young for some of those things. Just be careful. Our youngest is almost 4 but this activity They LOVE. Or i take and fill the table with crayons, markers, scissors (safe ones for kids), tape, glue sticks and paper and tell them to make a nice picture. They love this and its keeps them busy forever. Kids love cutting and taping and glueing!!!!

Parks, even have them halep you with dinner, lunch and breakfast. Keep them involved. I agree with the scrapbooking. I do it too, although not that good. Its fun. Have them make there own scrapbook. The older ones that is. Evn go to Michaels or any craft store and get some holiday crafts they can paint and glue niknaks on. My son loves that and hes 6 1/2. Good luck

What about finger painting for the kids and anything artistic you like to do.
Also, with christmas coming up, they can do homemade ornaments
or Hand Turkeys. trace their hands and make it look like a turkey.
How about having a scheduled story time. like right before a nap. or after lunch.
let them color while you read a novel or magazine.
bake cookies
make home made playdough or edible playdough

have you tried tole painting? I love it. I come up with ideas,
hubby cuts the wood, I paint and give as gifts or sell.
Another thing is get some craft foam and a hot glue gun
and visit my web site at ;

take the kids to library for story time.this way your kids get interaction with someone else and you get adult time with some other parents.
try a local mall . i live in ohio and alot of the bigger malls have nice big indoor playgrounds for kids to play on , on those crappy days.
