All concern with global warming is perplexing. There are some climatologist that maintain that we just ended a "mini ice age" in 1945, that began 1585. Many people are using their recent memory to define the normal temperature, and are now panicking at the increase. Most of US temperature data dates back to 1880, who who is to say that the last 130 years are the "norm" for the entire world climatic history of several million years

Does it worry me? Yes. Every minute of every day.
I'm truly saddened that there are still climate sceptics out there. And that there are people that think it means Brighton or Cape Cod or wherever will slowly become like Jamiaca. Pina colatas all round.
Global warming, climate change, the greenhouse effect or whichever appelation you're inclined toward, means the PLANET IS BEING KILLED. This is not good. It's the scream from all corners of the globe to let us know that this planet is as one. And it needs to be considered as such.
If you do nothing then you should hang your head in complete shame. Because you are contributing to the destruction of the world. Think about that for a moment. Then, for god's sake, WAKE UP. Our children, grandchildren & history will condemn every single one of us if we do nothing.
There is NO bigger threat facing us today. Not terrorism, not the Chelsea Football Club, not drugs or crime or the tax department. Nothing else matters one jot. Not if we no longer have a planet to live on. Where else would we go?
It's so simple. Fix it or we all die.
Write an email to your local politician & one more to your country's leader. Stop driving so much. Get your power company to supply you with green(wind/solar/tidal/geothermal) power. Give a few dollars a month to an environmental lobby group. Recycle. Learn about the issues. Vote wisely.
Do something. Please. If your head is still in the sand & this isn't happening then what's the harm in doing these things? And if all the respected scientists on earth are right? Then you're saving the world. How often do you get to do that?

It's tough to sort through the Chicken Little's and the dire predictions. Sometimes I think, "ping", the string snaps and the whole thing collapses -- other times I think it just means we move North thirty miles.
In the 1970's, we were told that the Earth would run out of oil by 2000. This is clearly not true. A lot of people are running their own agendas on this topic and a lot of people are wonderfully passionate yet seemingly misguided. A lot of people would love to make money on a huge cultural shift in our way of living.
I worry more for our children than for myself.
I have faith that, once forced, the human race is inherently noble.
I think science can help clean up a lot of problems, but not all.
I see countries bonding together right now for various reasons.
Public awareness is growing as a belief system in warming.
We need concrete solutions -- our mis-trust in our government and big business is well founded. Give me an electric car and I will drive it, if I don't feel like I'm being ripped off. We will do what is necessary when we feel it's making a true impact.
peace.

If you believe Global Warming then the scare tactic has worked. This just normal Earth physics. The Earth circles the sun and a few degrees in tilt change our seasons. Then it may weave in and out over many years causing what many think is Global Warming. Years from now Earth will wobble another direction and we have Global Cooling. Nothing to be alarmed over. Just be worried about that Asteroid headed for us!!! Aggggh!!!!

Not particularly...I mean it aint nothing new, think about the ice age. As someone has already pointed out, the earth has been changing over millions of years and that's whats 'appening still. Having said that, I do try to live an environmentally friendly lifestyle as far as possible eg, energy saving bulbs, re-cycling as much as possible, drive small car with ultra low emissions etc.,

The media has totally blown this whole global warming thing out of proportion. I don't think it is something to worry about.
Why don't you worry about all the starving people in third world countries.

Yes it does, but I worry more about the effects it will have on the generations to come. We have let things go so far that I really think we have gone to far.
Why can’t we get it into our heads that we can’t keep using resources with out looking at the consequences

Yes it worries me.
And sadly, even if every American stops doing the things that contribute to the problem, the rest of the world wont, so we're doomed.

No, couldn't care less. I'm nearly 60, so not too long to go! Always leaving lights on, never turn tv's etc off at night, and I drive a 4X4 too. Don't care if you like that either.
