I would if he started to preach that your sins separate you from God, and he stopped preaching prosperity messages, If you look into Ted, his doctrine was off, he was like Joel Osten they don't talk about sin, there motivational speakers, but I have love for Ted, I hope he turns his life around, we need to show mercy as a Christian, but unless he changes his message, I wouldn't attend his church

Ted Haggad will never have a position of leadership in any church in the future because his testimony is tainted forever, however much he repents and is counseled.

I'm all for restitution in every way possible, but the only thing Haggard would do in a church leadership position would be to forever and ever defend himself against new allegations (whether true or false), and explaining why he should be trusted now when he sinned so horribly in the past.

Christians are not infallable, and make mistakes, however with that said, it appears like he has led a secret lifestyle, one away from God, and he is only sorry he caught. If he was sorry he would have been getting the help he needs to over come this.
Scripture says that people who put themselves in a place of teaching are held at higher standards and should be very careful when faced with sin or temptation. I could not and would not attend a church where Mr. Haggard led for the fact that he needs alot of work with a lifestyle that has clearly tormented him. To say one is sorry, is all well and good, but we all know that temptation, that same temptation temps us daily and untill we get rid of it, and resist until it is no longer a thorn in our side, we have no right to preach about it. And we certanly cannot ignore it, that is just as bad as the sin itself.
His word can no longer be held against him. His word is no longer his bond, and scripture says that if a prophesy that is spoken is wrong, than every prophesy that person has spoken can be weighed and be thought of as wrong. Since the person claims to be speaking from God. God is truth, He cannot lie. And the same goes for anyone put in a position of power in a church. If the person in power/leader of a church clearly feels led by God, what they say and do is scruitinized and judged just as a phrophets words and actions. Yes people sin, but until they prove themselves that that sin has been dealt with, until they prove that that sin is no longer a lifestyle and that they are living for God... they can only be looked upon like a pharasee ( spelling) They lost thier priveledge and need to take up thier cross and start again. God will not allow hypocrisy to live in His churches, and that's why this was exposed. He is not sorry that he did what he did, he is clearly sorry he got caught.

The one thing I've noticed about most churches is that immortality starts from the pulpit down into the congregation. I'm sure that the church he led was filled with members who had secret sin. No, I would not attend that church.

I live in the area, and I have to say that I didn't like the man BEFORE he was discovered to be a hypocrite, so I doubt that I'd attend any church led by him after the fact.

Anyone who reduces a persons' quest for meaning to a circus and a show is someone I would, naturally, avoid. I'd always be asking myself "Why so much glitter and noise? Why are they trying to distract me?"

No, he is an awful, hypocritical man. Seeing his discourse with Dawkins, I hated him with a passion. He was so convinced he's the best and his views are more knowledgeable than anyone else's. And he smiles so scarily it makes me think he's the Antichrist!

However, the fact he might be a homosexual does not bother me in the slightest, just all the other stuff.

It's funny, I was visiting with family and they dragged me there to his church. I'm not a religious person but I will admit the energy in the air was intoxicating. I think he'll slip into a funk and bounce back.

I will ring your doorbell and run away!!!

Hell NO! I wouldn't have followed that freak before he got busted for having his stool pushed in! I have seen him on television prior to his brilliant behavior in the media these days and I always thought that there was something just "not right" about that guy! Plus, most men who are overly homophobic are usually on the down low! Case in point!!!!

I never would have since i found out about him. The guy has always been an intolerant creep. He is not someone worthy of role-model status.
