I mean yes its hard since we can't see him, but we can feel him in our hearts. But most people just don't want to take the time to believe, they just want to say that he don't exist.

It's hard because there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever for his existence, and that just because when I was little I was genuinely afraid there was a bogeyman living under my bed, it didn't mean there was one. Turns out there wasn't.

You answered ur own question. Some people have to have proof that God exist. Do u believe there is a bigfoot? If u answered No, is it because u have never seen it or felt it. Because u haven't seen it of felt it doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. That is how some view god. If I can't see, hear, or feel god then he must not exist. They would have to have proof, and not someone showing them a religious book and saying that he is real, like someone would need proof that aliens, ghosts, or bigfoot exist. I believe in God and I can feel him in my heart because I already believe.

I don't think you can critiscise people for 'not taking the time.' A lot of people have taken the time to think about God, and religion, and have decided that he does not exist. It's not a lack of time, just a lack of belief, for a great number of reasons (some of which you've mentioned, but not all.)

And you can feel a great number of things in your heart - I personally feel spiritual a lot, but as individuals we interpret things differently - I just see this as spiritual, not a feeling of God or suchlike. We are all different, and I do not believe we can know that any one path is the right one.

Take the time to believe? Believe me, my religious beliefs were not the result of me saying, "gee, I don't want to think about this, so I guess I'll just say there is no god" (which isn't really my viewpoint anyway). It was a process that took a great deal of research and critical thinking about many different religious views, both theistic and atheistic. There are many people of all faiths and beliefs who may think a certain way just because it's easy for them, but not all of us are like that.

I believe in a higher power definitely. What i'm struggling with is the belief that Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven. That, I am having trouble with because the Bible has so many non-literal information and so much vagueness in it. I still don't know if Jesus was actually birthed by a true virgin. Then, I heard his birthday wasn't even on 12/25. I'm losing my religion, I fear. But i'll always feel there is a higher power propelled everything into existence.

The proof that no deity exists. Proof if I ever really cared to formulate, I could probably explain in plain english in less than ten typed, single sided and double spaced pages. I'm just not sure I care for the moral implications of being the one to prove every religion on the planet wrong overnight.

i totaly agree, and i still can't fully understand why they don't belive in god. i guess its exactly lyk u sed, ppl just dnt wht 2 take the tym 2 belive.
it may be simply cuz they don't see god. or bcuz they see all the suffereing in the world and feel god is doing nothing 2 help. therefore he dusnt exist. some just don't want 2 hv a religion so they may just say they feel god dusnt exist.
it all depends on the individual rly, and the lives they live. sum ppl would say that they've tried to communicate wid god but dey found no answer suggestign well hes nt real, and sum ppl basically belive in da big bang and all da evolutionary threory by Darwin. so i guess views vary.

I believed for about 17 years, and I never had a "feeling" in my heart. I have no reason to believe in something that I never felt or fully understood. There is no point in me putting time into something I FEEL isn't real.

Why is it so hard for people to realize that sometimes, people aren't going to believe. Accept it.

It's interesting that you know that "most people just don't want to take the time to believe." It sounds like you are JUDGING my child. It makes me cry when you judge. How could you possibly know WHY these people don't believe in Me?

And maybe what you're feeling in your heart isn't Me, but a space leftover from when Zeus ruled things. Don't be so sure and smug.

To believe anything, you must first have a cognitive understanding and proof that it is real. To believe without this precept means that you are living a delusion. Example?

The person you are dating tells you that he loves you. As long as he behaves with love, acts from that emotion, you can and will believe. But what happens when someone says they love you but behaves violently towards you? His actions in this case do not reflect the professed emotion. To continue to believe that he honestly loves you under these circumstances is not only deluded behavior but is potentially life threatening.

Yes. I understand that you feel god in your heart but it is foolhardy in the extreme to assume that others CAN feel as you do or even MIGHT feel as you do. Taken to the smallest common denominator, it would be like expecting everyone to love the taste of raw onions and garlic simply because you do.

My advice to you?

If you honestly feel god in your heart then continue with your life from that place. But don't expect others to agree with you or feel like you. It's best if you associate yourself with like minds if you are unable to handle a challenge to your belief system effectively.
