If there is a ZIP Code for every city why do we still put city and state on addresses?

Shouldn't the zip code be enough?

This true, good point.
Probably just for tradition's sake, or in case that can't read the zipcode.

Because we have to. Consider that some people may have the code wrong. They check if the code matches the city and state. It's a safety thing

because its very easy to mix up and write the number wrong. its just a way to make sure ur letter goes where its supposed to

There is....but even so it's not enough for some addresses
