My husband whom if you answered my last question does not believe in god, but he also does not limit the capabilities of man.
I am a massage therapist and I can put my hands on people and know exactly what is going in their body, and what the orgin is. They may say it's their back, and I will say no the problem is your glutes.I have taken away headaches in 3 minutes that people cant get rid of that they have had for days, and popped pain relievers. Now with that being said. My husband knows I can do this, and he also knows that I am afraid of the power that I have. And he says that I am looking for something that can help me with this, because I cant believe it is myself. He says I am a vessel and that I have limited abilities just like anyone esle, I am just more aware of it, he says. That is me living my full self, and not half. He says that I want to believe that it is something else, because I need to know there is something protecting me. What do you think?

I think at times you may be to honest if that is possible. He is on his path and you are on yours. Both are perfect for each of you. Each of you are seeking your own truth in your own way.

He seeks to understand the independent nature of his reality. You see the possibility that there is still more to know beyond this. You are in slightly different territory than he is but his is no less valid than yours. Just different.

You are starting to understand that you are far more than this fragile body that you have always thought yourself to be. You have actually known this for quite a while now but were afraid to admit that it could possibly be true.

You are also far more than a vessel. You are an integral part of the energy that you manifest to help those who come to you. This is more than protection. It is oneness with your source.

This oneness has been carefully disguised so as to not overwhelm your ability to explore your own important part in the process. You seem to be seeking the truth but in the end you will find only your true self.

Love and blessings Don

You won't find what you need here.

You are doing something that you have found works... but you don't know how it works. Please remember though: Only a primitive idiot automatically decides because he / she doesn't understand whats happening that it must be divine intervention.
Rest assured that if something funky is happening... that it only seems funky BECAUSE you don't understand the physical process taking place. Maybe you're not meant to know it.... Does it really matter?

Now... I can't tell you precisely whats going on because you haven't provided enough details. The body's nervous system is interconnected in strange ways so certain portions... when prodded the right way... can influence completely different parts. Then again it may just be part placebo... and if people automatically go in believing you're going to solve their aches and pains then they might be doing much of it themselves.... causing you to experience a coincidental pattern of results and attribute it to yourself.
But on the whole.... its important that you don't start jumping to conclusions.
Learning what IS causing it isn't half as important as acknowledging what definitely is NOT causing it....

You ask this either because he is close to the truth, or he has placed doubt into you. Only you can determine which.

If you approach spirituality in deparate need, you come away with a crutch for the desparate.

If you come as a questioner on a journey, you get a few directions and sent on a much longer journey.

If you come with a gift seeking instruction, the price of that instruction is often becoming a teacher of others.

In any case, this forum is good for light debate, but it is rather unlikely to fulfill any serious need as your husband describes. In your profession, there are bound to be those of a spiritual nature; ask several of them - don't rely on just one opinion. Alternately, seek out a holistic healing center or two for advise.

I think your husband is half right. You are attuned to a part of yourself that is able to help other people and that is great! But God is the One who gave you that talent, and it is nothing to be afraid of. It is not a power that you have, it is just a talent God gave you to help other people. You are not the only one, I have met many massage therapists who are talented in this respect, which is probably why they chose the occupation in the first place.

Good Luck!!!

I can't say what you are searching for but it is definitely not the God of the Bible because, "There is none who seeks for God" (Romans 3:11). We are all naturally depraved and want power, prestige, money, etc. and no one naturally wants the true and living God ... UNTIL He changes a person's heart and makes them willingly desire God.

We are spiritually dead in our sins (Ephesians 2:1) and God must make us alive to see His beauty.

Read the New Testament and learn who is the Source of all real power. I pray that He may shine His grace on you and your husband!

an answer ( which you now have )

oh yeah the answer - i think you are confusing intuition with 'special gift' but that's OK we all have a need to feel 'special' in some way. Being functionally delusional makes life go by much easier ( in my case i 'think' that i have more insight into how people think than the average !)

You are searching for limited and bounded answers to suit your question. You don't want to believe there is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. You want a mystical answer. There are no mystics in this world.

God has given you a very special gift. My belief is if someone gives you something of such value it is an insult if you do not give thanks by using it appropriately. You are protected. God would never give you anything you could not handle. I hope this helps. Have a lovely day!

You like all people are looking for one thing and one thing only -- the truth. Some people become 'distracted' and find their truth in greed or power or status, some people become 'distracted' and find their truth in deities, demiurges, or denials (huzzah for alliteration!), some people become 'distracted' by proof and logic. In the end, it's all base on the same thing, a small handful of axioms none of us can prove BECAUSE they are axioms.

The truth is, we're all full of crap, 'cause none of us know the truth, and we're all on to our own truth in spite of it. In one of my out-of-body experiences, Fenrir Wolf (who I see in all my OBE's) told me something I considered deeply profound, and I feel finally prompted to share. He looked me square in the eyes and as I went to lower my gaze (it is rude to hold an Alpha's eyes), he lifted my chin back up and said, "No. I am your truth. Do not look away."

Something inside of you is saying, "No. I am your truth. Do not look away."

What is your truth?

I think you are searching for someone to tell you that yes God is and He gives you your "ability" and yes He watches over you.
Fear not.
I think it is good that God gives you this ability.
He loves you and trusts you, you walk by faith.
Peace, joy, and love!!
