I always look forward to them but then stress my self out totally. I want everything to be perfect. Plus 2 years ago FIL died on December 17 and the last year my father died the same day, my uncle died on November 30 last year also.

You know my husband died in Iraq august 04 and even though to this day it is so very hard to get through the holidays without him i do it for everyone else because to me the holidays are the happiest times of the whole year. Its hard but to think the whole timeabout the oes you lost or how stressful it is makes it all that much worse. But then again everyone is different i guess

I look forward to the holidays as much as the next person, but when I plan something out and it goes slightly askew I stress horribly. I recently came to the conclusion that no matter what I do things will work out.
I lost my Dad on Dec. 1st in '93 and then lost my Granny 2 days before Easter 2 years ago. The holidays won't be the same without them, but I know they are watching over me from Heaven. In their own way they leave me little hints on doing things (memories). I try to remember the good times we had and go on with my life.

Sorry for the losses in the past.
I will be spending the holidays far away from my close family as I just moved 3 months ago to another state.
I have extended family here and my son but I won't even go into that.
I am considering feeding the homeless at a shelter this year as it just feels right.

I enjoy the holidays, but will admit they become increasingly difficult when members of our families pass away. My mother in law passed away 2 months ago and I know Christmas will be hard on my husband. But he loves the holiday so much that we've already got our tree up.
